A Summer Day Book

:: FOR TODAY ::

Outside my window... it's raining, again. Still.

I am thinking... I'm happy to have a lot of time alone this week while the kids are at VBS, but it's been so long since I've had such free time. I'm not quite sure what to do with myself.

I am thankful for... clear minded thinking and being able to write again.

From the kitchen... I'm dreaming of making Rich more pies from his birthday book.

I am wearing... a comfy skirt and my new shawl.

I am creating... the hem on a new dress just. for. me.

I am going... to bask in the stillness of quiet.

I am reading... my new sewing books.

I am hoping... that I can use my time wisely this week.

I am hearing... the gentle sounds of rain falling down.

Around the house... there is stillness.

One of my favorite things... polka dots.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
* Spend some time in uninterrupted prayer.
* Update my cleaning routine.
* Finish painting the dresser we picked up for free along side the road last October. (I started prepping it, but it was too much to finish. It's been sitting in the garage driving Rich batty all winter.)
* Paint the outside of my claw footed bathtub.
* Sip tea somewhere cozy and listen to a couple of MP3s I don't normally get a chance to listen to because the kids need or want me and I can't focus with the distraction.

A walk in the woods with my favorite little girl is a blessing indeed.
